Nobody should have to live without this! Believe me, once you have worked with this 100% handspun yarn made from recycled sari silk remnants (all new material) you will be hooked! If it is not the super yummy texture that this worsted weight yarn has in spades, it will be the rainbow of colors and the “wonder what comes next” experience that will keep you working.

This yarn will keep you engaged even after you are done with your project! The reason? The sari silk yarn will get “broken in” over time. Gaining softness and a very sumptuous sheen to it with usage! So the more you use your finished sari silk yarn garment or accessory, the more beautiful it will become! How great is that?
To make the experience even better for you, I wind each 100g/90 yards (ca. 82m) skein into a ball for you free of charge. So once the sari silk yarn gets to your door, all you have to do is let your imagination roam. To get the juices flowing check out our knitting pattern and crochet pattern page! There are also a few crafting projects that really give the yarn room to shine!

Knitting needles in size US 5 (3.75mm) will give you 4.5 stitches per inch. If you rather crochet, I would suggest a size US G-6 (4mm) or a US H-8 (5mm) hook, depending on how tight you want your stitches.

Dry clean, or hand wash or delicate cold cycle. If you would like to soften it up more you can throw it in the dryer on a low setting.
There are no dye lots. But I do recommend that you buy all the yarn necessary for your project at once, since I do separate by hues and hand pick and match the balls all by hand to find the best matches for you.

In buying this yarn you will not only satisfy your inner crafting goddess, but you also help out farming families in Nepal and India. How? Our fair trade Recycled Sari Silk yarn is hand spun in remote areas of India and Nepal by a woman's co-op to help supplement their families income during non-growing season. Make something spectacular and make a difference at the same time! Be a hero! Create heirlooms and create jobs!

This yarn has a fantastic texture you will fall in love with. It has thick and thin spots that give incredible depth to your projects and little fuzzies make our sari silk yarn a very tactile experience!
But don't just take my word for it!
